Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Performance Space

The reclamation of Temple University’s “The Baptist Temple” was a major focus of fundraising and campus change since it was closed in the 1970s.  After over 2 years of careful renovation and preservation, this iconic Philadelphia Church was opened as a premier performance venue.

“We hired Kate and her team to help us produce two high-profile development events for Temple University. As planning went on, we added a third. Kate is professional, focused and produces an excellent product. She and her team navigated our organization with grace (not the easiest of tasks), managed our tight budget beautifully and produced a memorable ribbon cutting for a new events space, a dedication of a performance space and a concluding event for our recent fundraising campaign. I highly recommend Stockton & Partners and look forward to the next opportunity to work together.”

-Audrey Schneider, Director of Special Events, Temple University Institutional Advancement

Challenge: Create several development events which showcase the new event space, highlight Temple University’s rich performing arts community and thank top donors for their support.

Solution:
This iconic building, remarkably repurposed, served as the dramatic background to these important opening development events.  The program was emceed by alumni, Bob Saget and featured remarks from Temple University Administration and students as well as the mayor of Philadelphia, Michael Nutter.  An impressive showcase of talent from Temple’s Boyer School of Music punctuated the speaking points and reminded donors of the talent their philanthropy supports. Following the program, guests were treated to tours of the building and dinner.
