STEM Punks from The Franklin Institute kicked off the Carnival with a 75-rocket salute while onlookers cheered, followed by live entertainment from Alex & the Kaleidoscope band. Throughout the sunshine-filled day along the Delaware River, attendees were also treated to free admission to the Independence Seaport Museum.

(April 29, 2014) Stockton & Partners, Inc., the Philadelphia region’s most creative communication-based event planning, meeting management, and destination management company, has been commissioned to manage, coordinate and execute the Signature event of the Philadelphia Science Festival, the Philadelphia Science Festival Carnival, on Saturday, May 3, 2014. Stockton & Partners has produced the Science Carnival since its inception in 2011.

“We were brought on for the inaugural year of the (Philadelphia Science Festival) Carnival in 2011. Our dedication, creativity and collaborative approach helped us to secure the partnership every year since. We are so proud to be here for the fourth year in a row!” said Kate Stockton, CMP, President of Stockton & Partners, Inc. The detail-oriented Stockton & Partners, Inc. team will provide all production services for the carnival, including:

Over a three-day period leading up to and including the day of the Carnival, Stockton & Partners, Inc. will manage all sponsorship fulfillment, volunteer management, and exhibitor management.

This year, the Philadelphia Science Festival Carnival has an expected attendance of over 30,000 science-lovers and will feature over 150 vendors; 14 food trucks; and 2 stages of entertainment, The Carnival will span throughout Aviator Park, FreePlay Park, 20th street between Winter and Race Streets, Winter Street between 20^th and 21^st Streets, the outer lanes of the Ben Franklin Parkway between 22^nd and 20^th Streets (see map below).

You’ve never experienced an outdoor carnival like this one! Our carnival features more than 140 exhibitors offering non-stop, family-friendly experiments, interactive activities, games, and a packed line-up of live entertainment. Enjoy liquid nitrogen ice cream, make gak, meet live zoo animals, check out the inner-workings of robots, take a tour of a helicopter, extract DNA from a strawberry, test a “crime scene” for forensic evidence, and so much more!
